Jane Bramwell - Book and Lyrics
Jane has always written plays and poems, and in her teenage years won two national poetry prizes. Twenty years ago when she met Michael, he persuaded her that she was writing lyrics, and not poems. In 2001 Michael and Jane used Jane’s poetry as the basis for their first work together, ‘Longer than it takes to say Goodbye’ which ran at the prestigious Fringe Venue ‘The Kings Head’ in Islington,
In 2014 Jane wrote the lyrics for ‘King and Country’, a music drama piece about the First World War which ran at the Brighton Fringe Festival and is scheduled to run in Oxford in 2018.
‘The Real Lewis Carroll’ had a try out in Petworth and then ran for 21 Performances in Oxford in 2016 to Four star reviews.
Her novel, ‘White Birds’, is due for publication in 2017.
Michael Brand - Composer
Michael’s first musical – ‘Zuleika, with book and lyrics by well-known horror story author Reggie Oliver - was produced at Oxford Playhouse. He has never recovered from the experience!
His musical ‘In the Red’ was premiered with West End stars at Her Majesty’s Theatre, London.
‘Longer than it Takes to say Goodbye’, a two-hander, with lyrics by Jane Bramwell was premiered at the Drill Hall, London and then ran at the King’s Head, Islington and ‘King and Country’, a music drama piece about the First World War which ran at the Brighton Fringe Festival and is scheduled to run in Oxford in 2018.

His latest work – ‘The Alan Turing Passion’ – a music drama about the tragic circumstances surrounding the death of the inventor of the modern computer, is scheduled for performances in Brighton, Oxford and London in 2017.
